Making it yours
Bifold stacking and traffic doors, explained
Make the folding direction and everyday access clear before the supplier checks the layout.

Use one viewpoint
The quotation diagrams describe left and right from outside looking in. Imagine standing in the garden facing the doors, then mark the requested stacking side. That avoids a common misunderstanding when the installer is discussing the same opening from inside.
Where will the panels sit?
Stack left, stack right and split-stack requests describe where the folded panels would gather. Not every panel count or product supports every arrangement. Leave room for the open stack and discuss nearby walls, steps, paths and furniture.
What is a traffic door?
A traffic door is a leaf intended for everyday passage without needing to fold the entire set. If this matters, request it and identify the preferred left- or right-hand panel in the diagram. The exact position and operation must work with the selected system and configuration.
A drawing symbol helps communicate the request; it does not confirm that the supplier can manufacture every combination shown.
Review the whole request
Check the panel count, central direction arrow, highlighted stack side and traffic-door marker together. Then add the threshold and handle preferences. Dolly will confirm the compatible arrangement and dimensions before quotation rather than approving each element in isolation.
